In and Out - number one :)

So I'm feeling a bit lazy today, the weather's horrible in Sheffield and I have little to do, so I thought I'd jump on the 'Ins and Outs' bandwagon... Here goes...

IN

1. Not being at Uni. Although I love it there and I miss my friends, I am not missing the early starts, late nights, constant hangovers and massive work load. I go back on the 14Th, so I've still got loads of time to laze about in my PJ's :)

2. Max Factor Second Skin foundation. I've been using the Natural Collection £2 stuff for about 5 months now, and as great as it is for the money, it does nothing but sit on the skin. It doesn't blend well at all, and with the tiniest drop of rain, the smear that is caused is a nightmare to fix when you're on the go. So with the Christmas money I was given, I went on the hunt for a new one. Yes, the price difference is quite noticeable - £12.99 - but this stuff is amazing. It blends amazingly, makes the skin looks pretty flawless when paired with a decent concealer, and you only have to use the tiniest amount, so I guess the price tag is deserved. All in all, a great buy.

3. Clinique's 3 step Anti-Blemish solutions. My skin is very prone to breakouts and blackheads and I've been wanting to try out Clinique for a while. But with a £50 price tag attached, it wasn't a product I was willing to buy on a whim. Once again with Christmas vouchers, I went on a trip to MAC, where I bought fix+ and Rubinesque paint pot (fix+ isn't living up to my prior expectations - review in another post). However, with a fairly substantial amount of change, I was drawn to the Clinique counter next door. The saleswomen worked her magic and I arrived home with the foaming cleanser, anti-blemish cleansing foam, anti-blemish chemical exfoliator/clarifying lotion, and the(amazing)clearing moisturiser. I'll do a full post on this range, but let me tell you, I'm impressed.

4. My boyfriend, Nick. I love him quite a bit :) He's made me extremely happy these past few weeks and he deserves a little mention :)

5. NYE. I love getting dressed up for a night out, it makes me feel wonderful and that's what I'll be doing tonight. Hopefully bringing in the new year looking good, feeling good, with the ones I love, and not too wasted. :)

OUT

1. Christmas. I LOVE Christmas. I'm like a child, getting overly hyper, leaving out carrots and milk on Christmas eve and not being able to sleep. But it's gone for another year :( Not too long now though...

2. Not being with my uni girlies. Even though we've all only known each other for three months, I feel like I've known them all my life. We live in each others pockets and not being with them is quite strange :(

3. How much work I've got to do over the holidays. Pretty self explanatory, really :(:(.

I think that's about it for now. I'll be reviewing Fix+ and Clinique pretty soon but I hope everyone is enjoying the break from school/college/uni/work... enjoy yourselves tonight and untill next time... xoxo

Enchanté...

Well... hello! This is my first blog post so I will begin by introducing myself :)
I'm Jessica, or Jess. I'm 18 and am very passionate about life, love, make up, and fashion. This blog will be beauty based, with reviews, hauls, pictures, and lots of random updates on my rather hectic life :)
More about me... I'm currently a university student, studying primary teaching, and i'm in my first year. I spend 80% of my time at university, and I live in the halls of residence there. The rest of my time I spend at home in Sheffield with my family, and my boyfrind, Nick.
I first found out about beauty blogs and videos completely by accident. I was searching through YouTube on my iPhone, and on the 'most viewed today' tab, I saw a video, a MAC haul, by lollipop26. I watched, and I was hooked. Lollipop26 is probably the guru I watch and read most, but I also love makeupbymel, gemsmaquillage and allthatglitters21 amongst others.
I also love music, cheesy 90's being a personal fave - S Club 7 and Busted, anyone? Haha :)
Back to make up. I love MAC, Clinique, NARS and Benefit, but I have a place in my heart for drugstore - Barry M, Revlon, L'oreal, Max Factor, Boots' Natural Collection, 17, ELF... the list goes on and on.
I'm contemplating making videos on YouTube but am undecided as of yet. I just don't know if i'll have the time to be dedicatd enough- my workload at uni is huge, it takes up a LOT of my time... but we'll see.
Well, I could ramble on forever but i'm sure i'd just bore you all. Haha. Introduce yourselves too, i'd love to be a part of the ever-growing make up community here on blogger and over on YouTube.
Untill next time...
xoxo
